In Kostanay, as part of a good tradition, the lighting of the lights of the main New Year tree took place, which gave an official start to the New Year's celebrations in the regional center.

At the same time, New Year's illumination was turned on at four more city venues — on Zhastar Boulevard (KSK), as well as in the Airport, Yubileyny and Konai neighborhoods.

On the eve of the winter school holidays, the main focus is on creating safe and comfortable conditions for active recreation of citizens, especially children. Currently, there are outdoor ice rinks in the Yubileyny microdistrict and on Zhastar Boulevard (KSK), accessible to everyone. The installation of ice figures, slides and a snow maze is being completed.

At the end of the event, the mayor of the city congratulated Kostanay residents on the upcoming New Year, wishing them good health, prosperity and confidence in the future, noting that 2026 should be a time of good changes and new opportunities for every resident of the city.
