Today, the ceremony of lighting the main New Year’s Christmas tree titled “Zharkyra Shattyk Shyrshasy” took place at the central square of the Karmakshy District. Residents and guests of the district gathered for this eagerly awaited festive event, enjoying a joyful and cheerful atmosphere.

District Akim Zhandos Yerkinbek attended the ceremony, congratulated the public on the upcoming New Year, and highlighted the district’s achievements in socio-economic development.

— In just a few days, we will bid farewell to the old year and step into the new one. This is a special moment that everyone welcomes with a unique sense of joy. This year has been productive and full of achievements for our district. Today’s accomplishments are the result of the support of the Head of State, the Government, and the regional akim, as well as the diligent work of our residents, — said the district akim.

Zhandos Yerkinbek also noted that in 2025 the district’s initial budget was approved at 12 billion 176 million tenge, and as a result of three revisions during the year, it increased to 22 billion tenge. Currently, through effective budget planning and the attraction of additional funding sources, the district budget has grown by 9.9 billion tenge, or 80.9 percent.

— Dear fellow residents! The coming year will be a period of new tasks and opportunities for our district. We will continue to systematically implement social and infrastructure projects and carry out efforts aimed at improving the quality of life of our population, — the district head concluded.

Afterwards, with the participation of the district akim and leading representatives of the district, the first lights of the Christmas tree were switched on on the eve of the Year of the Horse. The festive evening continued with a concert program by local artists, bringing joy and a special holiday spirit to everyone in attendance.
