On August 2, 2025, the international trail race Aqbura Bay Trail – 5 was held on the territory of the recreation area Akbura (between lakes Bolshoye Chebachye and Tekekol Shchuchinsk – Burabai resort area of Akmola region. This unique sports event will unite fans of running and active lifestyle, offering participants to test themselves in extreme conditions.

This year, the total number of participants reached 1500 people. The race was attended by both Kazakhstani citizens and foreign guests from countries such as Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Spain, Canada, New Zealand, the United States, Belarus, Italy, etc.

The organizers prepared children's and adult distances, as well as a cycling race:

• Kids 500 m;
• Kids 1 km;
• Kishi 11 km.;
• Nordic walking 11 km.;
• Orta 23 km.;
• Uly 53 km.;
• Aqbura Bike 51 km.

Holding events of this format, such as the «Aqbura Bay Trail 5» trail race, is essential for the development of domestic tourism, the promotion of an active lifestyle, and drawing attention to the natural and cultural potential of the region.

Such initiatives contribute to the formation of a sustainable interest in eco-friendly tourism, and strengthen the image of Kazakhstan as a country with unique landscapes and favorable conditions for outdoor sports.
