On July 26, 2025, a massive open-water swimming event, Pikeman, was held on the picturesque Lake Shchuchye in the Shchuchinsk-Burabay resort area, attracting more than 500 participants from all over Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Visit Aqmola Tourist Information Center under the Department of Tourism of the Akmola Region.

This unique event serves as a shining example of how sports can bring people together, promote domestic tourism, and raise awareness about environmental conservation.

The swim was free for all participants, which made it as accessible as possible and attracted both experienced swimmers and amateurs, as well as families with children and tourists vacationing in Burabay.

The PIKEMAN swim was part of a series of summer sports events aimed at promoting outdoor activities in the picturesque regions of Kazakhstan.
