The anniversary tournament of the Combat Sambo League was held at the International Sambo Center in Moscow. In 2025, the tournament took place for the fifth time. Over the years, the League has established itself as one of the most prominent and principled projects in the world of combat sambo, bringing together top athletes from Russia and abroad.
The Grand Prix final of the Combat Sambo League was held in the capital of the Russian Federation. The tournament brought together representatives from Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Cameroon. World champions, Honored Masters of Sport, and leading members of national teams competed on the mat, highlighting the high international status of the competition.
Following intense and uncompromising bouts, first place was claimed by a serviceman of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Senior Specialist, Senior Driver of the 1st Vehicle Section of the Motor Platoon, 1st Operational Battalion of military unit 6697, Corporal Mälik Baisultanov. His confident performance and high level of preparation became a clear demonstration of professionalism and athletic excellence.
It is worth noting that the anniversary tournament reflected the five-year journey of the Combat Sambo League — from a bold idea to a stable professional platform that is shaping new standards for organizing competitions.
The victory of the guardsman on the international stage once again confirms the high level of physical and combat training of servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
