A Public Council on enlightenment and child rights protection was established under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On January 13, 2026, the first meeting of the Public Council was held.

The meeting was opened by the Minister of Education, Zhuldyz Dosbergenkyzy Suleimenova, who addressed a number of key issues and innovations in the field of education.

The Chairperson of the Council was unanimously elected as Murat Abenov, a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who is actively involved in raising educational issues.

A selection process was conducted among the candidates for Council membership, and as a result, Alina Seitkanovna Leimenova, Director of the “Zhylandy Secondary School” State Communal Institution, was included in the Council’s composition.

The Council consists of commissions on preschool education, secondary education, vocational education, upbringing, child rights, inclusion, digitalization, and state control in the education system.

The members of the Council have commenced their work.
