Three convicted women were released in the women's colony of the Abai region.
For each of them, this day became an important event — the moment of their release and the beginning of a new stage in their lives.
Among those released is a 34—year-old resident of Pavlodar, who served her sentence for fraud and was sentenced to four years and seven months in prison. Her time in the institution was a serious life lesson for her and an opportunity to rethink the past.
While serving her sentence, the woman actively participated in the activities of the institution, observed the established order, worked diligently and showed respect for others. The positive characterization and the desire for correction became the basis for parole.
The freed woman was met by her 78-year-old father at the prison gates. Throughout his term, he supported his daughter with letters, telephone conversations and faith in her return home. The long separation became a serious ordeal for the family, and the meeting after several years of waiting was filled with sincere emotions and warm hugs.
— I am 34 years old, I do not have my own family and children yet. The closest to me have always been my parents, whom I once let down badly. They were the ones who supported me and gave me hope for the future. Now I intend to start my life with a clean slate, create a family, live with dignity and be useful to society and my parents," the freedwoman shared.
— All this time we lived in the hope that we would see our daughter free. This faith helped us to cope with worries and difficulties. We will continue to support her," the woman's father said.
