Work to provide socially vulnerable groups with housing is being carried out in Shymkent in stages. Today, 24 families on the housing waiting list in Turan microdistrict received the keys to rental apartments from the municipal housing fund.
Among the new settlers are large and single-parent families, citizens with disabilities, families raising children with special needs, as well as children left without parental care and orphans.
The ceremony of handing over the keys to the apartments was attended by the mayor of Shymkent, Gabit Syzdykbekov, who congratulated the residents on their new homes. In his speech, the mayor noted that modernizing the housing stock, improving the well-being of the population, and creating a comfortable living environment are among the main priorities of the city administration.
It is worth noting that rental apartments from the municipal housing stock are distributed in accordance with the procedure established by law, based on approved lists. Since the beginning of the year, 187 of the 235 apartments allocated across the city have been given to citizens on the housing waiting list.
This event demonstrates the effectiveness of social support and is a continuation of systematic work aimed at improving the quality of life of the population.
