KazAID and TIKA discussed prospects for cooperation in 2026-2027

On 3 February 2026, a meeting was held between Mr. Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Executive Board of KazAID, and Mr. Fuat Erdoğmuş, Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the joint implementation of programmes in the fields of education and healthcare in 2026, including the continuation of the “Avicenna: Healthcare” project, as well as the organization of a Joint Early Years Investment Forum in cooperation with UNICEF. A prospective project aimed at training women teachers from partner countries in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in schools of Kazakhstan was also reviewed, along with other priority areas planned for 2027.

The parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and to exchange experience and knowledge in the field of Official Development Assistance (ODA) within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two agencies.
