Today, at the premises of the Municipal State Enterprise "Kostanay Heat and Power Company" (KTEC), a meeting was held between the staff of the heat supply company and deputies of the Kostanay City Maslikhat to discuss the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The draft of the new Constitution introduces a number of fundamental innovations. The central one is the formation of a unicameral "Kurultai" consisting of 145 deputies, elected by a proportional system for a term of five years.  

It is assumed that this structure will contribute to the strengthening of the party system, increase the responsibility of political forces, and modernize the model of parliamentary representation.

The amendments will affect approximately 77 articles, which is more than 80% of the text of the Constitution. 

Thus, the changes and additions affect all sections of the Basic Law. 

Changing the names of sections or clarifying the wording of the articles of the Constitution is not just an editorial correction, but an important and deeply considered step that changes conceptual approaches, strengthens legal precision, and enhances the quality of the Basic Law.
