Deputy Mayor of Shymkent Sarsen Kuranbek held a meeting at the Central Asian Innovation University to discuss and explain the draft of the new Constitution. The meeting was attended by teachers and young people of the university, who made informative reports under the theme "The Draft New Constitution: Today's Change - Tomorrow's Development."
During the meeting, it was noted that the constitutional reform is an important step aimed at modernizing the country's political system, increasing the efficiency of public administration, and strengthening trust between society and the authorities.
Sarsen Kuranbek noted that the current Constitution was adopted during the formation of Kazakhstan as an independent state and fulfilled its historical mission in establishing the state. He also noted that the changing geopolitical situation, the complexity of international relations, the rapid development of science and technology, as well as the rise of public demands to a new level, require a new understanding of the legal system.
– In order to increase the country's global competitiveness, strengthen its internal potential and institutional stability, it is necessary to adapt the norms of the Constitution to modern requirements. This is an important step towards the further sustainable development of the country, – said the deputy akim of the city.
During the event, the First Vice-Rector of the Central Asian Innovation University, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Yerlan Zulmatuly, Head of the Law Department, PhD Ainur Abdikerimova, and Candidate of Legal Sciences Botabek Imashev made reports, emphasizing the impossibility of development without stability and legal basis.
At the end of the meeting, the participants noted the importance of constitutional reform for the future of the country, and stressed the urgency of improving the legal literacy of young people and strengthening their civic engagement. The participants also expressed their support for the new Constitution of the country under discussion.
