On February 5 a literary and musical evening dedicated to the 95-th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh poet Mukagali Makataev was held at the East Kazakhstan Regional Library for Children and Youth. The event took place within the framework of the literary and musical club «Zhauhar», which has been successfully operating at the library for over a year.

The «Zhauhar» literary and musical club, established on the initiative of creative young people, serves as a platform for the development of artistic creativity, spiritual communication, and engagement with national culture.

The main aim of the event was to promote Mukagali Makataev’s poetic legacy, to reveal the philosophical depth of his works, and to foster respect for national literature and spiritual values.

During the evening, participants recited the poet’s works and performed songs based on his poems. Well-known pieces such as «Bugin menin tugan kunim oy pele-ai», «Armanda», «Poeziya menimen egiz be edin», «Men dep oila», «Fariza», «Esiñe meni algaişyn» and others were presented from the stage.

The thematic decoration of the hall contributed to the creation of a creative and inspiring atmosphere. The performances were marked by expressiveness and sincerity, allowing the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the poet’s work and to perceive it from a new perspective.

The evening concluded with an «open microphone» session, during which guests shared their impressions, expressed their wishes, and presented their own creative works related both to the theme of the event and to free topics.
