Deputy Mayor of Shymkent Sarsen Kuranbek visited Miras University and held a meeting with students and faculty to discuss and explain the draft New Constitution.

During the meeting, the deputy mayor of the city noted that the current Constitution played an important role in ensuring social harmony and political stability in the country during the formation and development of independent Kazakhstan. According to him, the Constitution has so far fully fulfilled the historical mission assigned to it. At present, there is a need to adopt a new Constitution that meets the requirements of the development of society and the state, further strengthens statehood and responds to modern challenges.

Sarsen Kuranbek noted that the draft of the new Constitution pays special attention to national interests and national characteristics. It was also noted that the document provides for important norms aimed at protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, guided by the principles of justice and equality.

The event was held in an open dialogue format, and students showed great activity. Participants expressed their opinions on the draft New Constitution and expressed their support for the initiatives raised. In addition, specific answers were given to the questions raised by the students.
