Employees of a minimum-security facility of the Department of the Criminal Executive System in the Abai Region conducted preventive outreach work with the relatives of convicted individuals aimed at preventing offenses related to attempts to bring prohibited items into the facility.

During the event, visitors were thoroughly informed about the list of prohibited items and were provided with explanations of the requirements of the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“The main goal of such activities is not punishment, but prevention. We strive to convey to the relatives of convicted individuals that compliance with established rules directly affects safety and law and order within the facility,” said Head of the institution Sayat Altayev.

Relatives of the convicted individuals noted the importance of such meetings, emphasizing that they help avoid mistakes and violations of the law.

“Not everyone knows that even an attempt to bring prohibited items entails administrative and criminal liability. After the explanations, it became clear how serious this issue is,” shared a relative of one of the convicted individuals.

The facility’s staff also reminded attendees that the transfer of permitted items and food products must be carried out strictly in accordance with established procedures. Conducting such preventive measures helps improve legal awareness among citizens and reduce the number of offenses within the restricted area.
