The Ambassador of Kazakhstan participated in the annual diplomatic address of the President of Kenya

Nairobi, February 9, 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Kenya B.Sadykov participated in the annual diplomatic address of the President of Kenya W.Ruto to the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, which was held at the presidential palace in Nairobi.

In his address, Mr. Ruto declared that Kenya remains a “firm supporter of the rules-based international order” that guarantees the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states as enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.

In addition to global governance, W.Ruto highlighted Kenya's leadership in climate diplomacy, peace mediation in the Horn of Africa and Great Lakes region, and its role as the lead country in the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti.

Additionally, the Kenyan President reaffirmed the country's commitment to expanding the UN presence in Nairobi, noting that the country hosts the only United Nations headquarters in the Global South and remains committed to providing political, military and infrastructural support for its development.

Following his address, W.Ruto called for closer collaboration between Kenya and the diplomatic corps in 2026 to translate shared commitments into measurable results for citizens and the international community.

During a brief conversation, Ambassador B.Sadykov informed President W.Ruto about important issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda.
