Welfare state: the significance of new constitutional changes

A roundtable discussion on the topic "The Welfare State and New Standards of Quality of Life" was organized in Shymkent as part of the constitutional reform. The event was attended by trade union activists, industry experts, and representatives of public organizations.
During the meeting, the impact of constitutional reform on the labor market, the level of social protection of employees, and the quality of life of the population in general was discussed in detail.
Bauyrzhan Alteyev, chairman of the territorial trade union association "Shymkent Trade Union Center", in his report emphasized the importance of constitutional changes in modernizing the state structure and strengthening the welfare state.
According to him, the presence of Satybaldy Dauletalin in the Constitutional Commission will increase the status of the concept of "Worker" and contribute to the formation of new mechanisms for protecting the rights and interests of workers.
– Strengthening the foundations of the social state through constitutional reform is the need of the hour. New standards should become the main tool for improving the quality of life of the population. The successful implementation of the reform depends on the activity of every citizen. Only our unity and responsibility will create a just society and high living standards, – said B. Alteyev.
He also noted that the proposals made during the meeting will be included in the future work plan of the trade unions, and a set of special measures will be developed on the issues raised.
Serik Aueskhanov, chairman of the local trade union of employees of state, banking and public service institutions of Shymkent, spoke at the meeting and touched upon the status and legal protection of civil servants.
"Every professional in the field of state and public services should feel protected. As part of the reform, we support the formation of an open and fair system of serving the public," he said.
Ulzhan Isabaeva, chairwoman of the "Ustaz Zholy" public association, said that the constitutional reform is an important step aimed at strengthening the principles of the welfare state and improving the quality of life.
Following the results of the roundtable, the participants noted the need to systematically continue work to strengthen social partnership, protect labor rights, and improve the quality of life of citizens.
At the end of the event, Bauyrzhan Alteyev called on trade union members and all citizens to support constitutional reform and actively participate in the common cause.
