Information and explanatory work continues in Shymkent to explain the content of the New Constitution. In this regard, Alfarabi Mynbay, Deputy Chairman of the city branch of the "Auyl" party, held a meeting with the labor collective of "Rakhat-Shymkent" LLP.
During the meeting, the speaker compared the main changes in the current Constitution and the updated version, explaining the essence and significance of the reform through specific examples.
According to Alfarabi Mynbay, one of the main features of the New Constitution is the increased opportunity for citizens to directly participate in the decision-making process.
— The Constitution is the cornerstone of the state's development. The updated Constitution is a concrete response to the people's demands. It has raised the relationship between the state and society to a new level. The role of the referendum institution has increased, which means that the mechanism for each citizen to influence the future of the country has strengthened, he said.
It was also noted that the Constitution clearly states that land and natural resources belong to the people. According to the Speaker, this norm will establish the principle of fair distribution of national wealth and serve as a basis for strengthening social justice.
The meeting also focused on the establishment of the Constitutional Court. As mentioned, citizens will now have the opportunity to directly appeal to the Constitutional Court if they believe their rights have been violated. This will strengthen the concrete mechanisms of the rule of law.
The new Constitution also strengthens the principle of balance between the branches of power. The role of Parliament has increased, and some of the deputies of the Majilis will be elected through single-mandate districts. This will strengthen the connection between the people and the deputies and allow for open discussion of regional issues.
During the meeting, factory workers asked a number of questions regarding labor rights protection, social guarantees, and the local government system. The Speaker answered each question comprehensively, emphasizing that the norms of the New Constitution are directly related to the daily lives of citizens.
— The new Constitution is not just a legal document, it is the fundamental law that affects the quality of life of every citizen. Your labor rights and social protection are defined by this document, — said A. Mynbay.
At the end of the meeting, which took place in a free exchange of opinions, the production team expressed their opinions on the content of the reform and expressed their support for the new Constitution.
