The role of the referendum institution has increased, which means that the mechanism for each citizen to influence the future of the country has strengthened, he said.
It was also noted that the Constitution clearly states that land and natural resources belong to the people. According to the Speaker, this norm will establish the principle of fair distribution of national wealth and serve as a basis for strengthening social justice.
The meeting also focused on the establishment of the Constitutional Court. As mentioned, citizens will now have the opportunity to directly appeal to the Constitutional Court if they believe their rights have been violated. This will strengthen the concrete mechanisms of the rule of law.
The new Constitution also strengthens the principle of balance between the branches of power. The role of Parliament has increased, and some of the deputies of the Majilis will be elected through single-mandate districts. This will strengthen the connection between the people and the deputies and allow for open discussion of regional issues.
During the meeting, factory workers asked a number of questions regarding labor rights protection, social guarantees, and the local government system.
