Discussions held in Bratislava on prospects for trade cooperation between Kazakhstan and Slovakia

Bratislava, February 12–13, 2026 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Slovak Republic, Zhanna Saginova, held meetings with the leadership of the Žilina Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Director Pavel Vitek and Board Member Ján Mišura, as well as with Ján Sabol, owner of AZC Group.
During the talks, the parties discussed further strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Slovak Republic. The Ambassador presented Kazakhstan’s economic and investment potential and introduced Slovak entrepreneurs to the opportunities of the Kazakhstani market. The sides highlighted the promising prospects for developing cooperation in industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, the IT sector, tourism, and education.
With the leadership of the regional chamber of commerce and industry, opportunities for cooperation were discussed with an emphasis on developing interregional trade, cultural-educational, and tourism ties. The chamber’s representatives expressed interest in establishing contacts with Kazakhstani partners and confirmed their readiness to receive a business mission from Kazakhstan.
Information: The Žilina Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the largest regional chambers in Slovakia. The Žilina region is one of the country’s economically developed regions with a high level of industrialization, with the engineering industry playing a key role.
During the meeting with Ján Sabol, views were exchanged on economic issues within the bilateral agenda, including prospects for implementing joint projects in areas of mutual interest.
