On February 18, 2026, a clarification seminar was held at the Respublica Party (EKR branch) platform on the topic: “Current Changes in Tax Legislation and Issues of Product Labeling in 2026,” aimed at improving the legal and tax literacy of small and medium-sized business entities.
The event was organized to inform business representatives about current legislative changes and the practical aspects of their application. Representatives of the Department of State Revenues for the East Kazakhstan Region took part in the seminar and delivered detailed explanations on tax administration matters.
During the seminar, amendments and additions to the tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan coming into force in 2026 were reviewed. Gulmira Sabralimova, Head of the Explanatory Work and Contact Center Department, presented the key novelties of the tax legislation, specifics of their application, and potential risks in case of non-compliance with established requirements. Participants were informed about updates to special tax regimes and transitional provisions, issues related to the calculation and payment of Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Individual Income Tax (IIT), social tax, and Value Added Tax (VAT), as well as changes concerning the abolition of the withdrawal procedure and the extension of deadlines for submitting tax reports.
Askhat Zhibitayev, Head of the Indirect Tax Administration Department, addressed issues related to the labeling of beer and beer-based beverages, including clarification of administrative liability provisions stipulated by Article 284 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses. Particular attention was paid to the changes effective from January 19, 2026, concerning the failure to reflect the identification means on cash register receipts when selling goods subject to mandatory labeling, as well as the procedure for reviewing such administrative cases by state revenue authorities.
During the seminar, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and receive qualified answers from specialists.
Holding such events contributes to improving the legal culture of entrepreneurs, reducing the number of violations, and strengthening cooperation between state revenue authorities and the regional business community.
