The constitution is the cornerstone of any state's legal and political system. It is the main document that regulates the relationship between society and the authorities and defines the scope of the rights and freedoms of citizens.
In the current era of accelerating globalization, society is constantly changing and new demands are emerging. In this context, the New Constitution was assessed as an important step towards strengthening democratic values, improving the balance between the branches of power, and increasing the level of legal protection for citizens.
During the meeting, the speakers noted that the new Constitution will be the basis for the country's sustainable development and the formation of a just society. It was noted that the political reforms proposed by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev are at the heart of these initiatives. It was noted that his Address of September 8, 2025 included issues of comprehensive modernization of the political system, increasing the efficiency of governance in the era of artificial intelligence, and supporting socio-economic development.
During the meeting, the staff of the city polyclinic No. 2 was explained that more than 70 articles of the Constitution had been amended and supplemented. The main innovations included reforms to the structure of the Parliament, the introduction of the Vice-President, and the expansion and clarification of civil and legal guarantees. It was also noted that the role of the People's Council in socio-political processes would expand the opportunities for direct participation of the people in state power.
During the meeting, the participants comprehensively discussed the social orientation of the New Constitution and its impact on the daily lives of citizens. During the open exchange of views, special attention was paid to the issues of strengthening social justice, expanding the scope of public participation, and increasing the accountability of state institutions to citizens.
