In order to support entrepreneurs and improve the quality of accounting and tax accounting, the Ministry of Finance, together with professional accounting organizations (PAOs), launched the “People's Accountant” campaign on January 5, 2026 . The campaign will run until June 30, 2026.

The main format is offline reception at the offices of state revenue departments in regional centers and the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent.

Starting in March 2026, consultations will be held twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Reception locations are marked with “People's Accountant” signs indicating the schedule and address.

As part of the campaign in January-February 2026, consultations were provided to more than 38,000 taxpayers, and 879 open days were held.

The main questions concerned the choice of the optimal tax regime and transition period, tax benefits and deductions, issuing electronic invoices, the VAT threshold, VAT registration and deregistration for SNR and OPR, permitted activities for the self-employed, and much more.
