The instruction of the Head of State to increase the share of processed products in the agro-industrial complex to 70% within three years is being carried out in the region according to plan.

«Within the framework of the project implemented by LLP 'Kostanay Sturgeon' in 2024, 15 tons of sturgeon fish were produced last year. This made it possible to meet 35% of the region's population's demand for this type of fish. For the northern regions of the country, this project has no analogues,» noted the regional akim.

Currently, the partnership is implementing a project to build a trout farm, a processing workshop, and a cold storage warehouse.

The President of the country has repeatedly emphasized the need to strengthen food security, develop the agro-industrial complex, and create modern infrastructure for storing agricultural products.

In the village of Zarechnoye, LLP 'Khalyk Agro KST' has begun implementing a project to build a vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 5.2 thousand tons, equipped with microclimate and ventilation systems.

Furthermore, the partnership plans to build a fruit warehouse, a processing, washing, and product branding workshop, as well as a social warehouse using its own funds.

The region has storage facilities with a total capacity of 87 thousand tons, of which only 46.5 thousand tons are equipped with a climate control system.
