A 35-year-old resident of the Abai region, arriving for another shift, was detained by police officers at a checkpoint. During a personal search, a paper parcel containing a narcotic substance, dried marijuana, was found in the man's possession. 

               The court found the man guilty and imposed a fine on him. The convicted person was informed of the legal consequences of non—enforcement of the court decision, including the possibility of replacing the fine with a more severe measure of punishment - community service. However, the man ignored the court's demands and did not pay the fine on time. As a result, the court decided to commute the penalty in the form of a fine to community service for a period of 60 hours. The convict was registered with the probation service of Borodulikhinsky district.

            Upon registration, educational and explanatory work was carried out with him, aimed at the formation of law-abiding behavior and the prevention of repeated offenses. During the conversation, the man said that he was not married and lived with his parents. To fulfill the punishment imposed by the court, the convict was employed in the rural akimat as a handyman. Currently, he performs socially useful work — he is engaged in cleaning the territory, clearing snow and other types of landscaping under the supervision of probation officers.

          — Such preventive measures are significant. The main task of the probation service is not only to monitor the execution of sentences, but also to prevent repeated offenses. Replacing a fine with community service is a legitimate measure of influence and serves as a clear example that ignoring the requirements of the court inevitably entails stricter responsibility," said Kasken Bodaev, head of the probation service of the Borodulikhinsky district.

        — This situation has become a lesson for me, this case has made me think seriously. I realized that any violation of the law has consequences. Now I'm trying to fix the situation and not make such mistakes anymore," the convict shared.
