A briefing on the payment of vehicle tax by individuals for 2025 was held at the site of the Regional Communications Service. The speaker was Arman Uvaliev, Head of the Non-production Payments Department.
During his speech, Arman Uvaliev reminded the car owners of the region that the deadline for paying the transport tax for 2025 expires on April 1, 2026.
The speaker stressed that starting from April 2, notices of arrears will be sent to persons who have not paid the tax, and penalties will be charged for each day of delay.
The collection algorithm works as follows:
- After receiving the notification, the taxpayer has 30 working days to repay the debt.
- In case of non-fulfillment of the requirement, a tax order is automatically generated (5 working days are given for its execution).
- If the order is ignored, the materials are transferred to the Chamber of Private Bailiffs (CHSI) for enforcement.
According to the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the transport tax is calculated by the taxpayer independently. The most convenient way to do this is through electronic services.:
- Mobile application "e-Salyq Azamat" (section "Calculators").
- Portal of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (kgd.gov.kz ), the service "Calculation of transport tax".
For the calculation for 2025, the monthly calculation index (MCI), effective on January 1, 2025, is 3,932 tenge. Also, the calculator must specify the number of months of actual ownership, the type of transport and the engine capacity.
The tax is paid at the place of residence of an individual. When paying through second-tier banks or terminals, you must use the following data:
- KBK (budget classification code) – 104402;
- KNP (payment destination code) for the principal amount of tax – 911;
- KNP for penalties is 912.
To make a payment, you will need to know the 17-digit VIN code of the vehicle (body number for passenger cars or chassis number for trucks) specified in the technical data sheet.
