Islamabad, April 3, 2026 - H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, received Mr.Hanif Qureshi, President of the Chess Federation, who briefed him on the ongoing activities carried out within the framework of cooperation with the Kazakhstan Chess Federation.

Mr. Qureshi expressed his gratitude for the support and contribution made by the Kazakh side to the development of chess in Pakistan and also informed about the intention to send a delegation of Pakistani chess players to participate in the upcoming World Championship, which will be held in Almaty from April 6 to 11 this year.
