Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Meets Governor of Bayan-Ulgii Aimag

Ulgii, March 23, 2026 – as part of a working visit to Bayan-Ulgii Aimag, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Mongolia Almas Seitakynov, held a meeting with the Governor of Bayan-Ulgii Aimag Zangar Yesentaiuly.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-Mongolian cooperation at the regional level, including in the areas of trade and economic ties, cultural and humanitarian engagement, education, and tourism.

Particular attention was paid to expanding business contacts and supporting joint initiatives in agriculture, transport, logistics, and small and medium-sized enterprises. The sides also reviewed cooperation in education, including the provision of educational grants for Mongolian citizens to study at higher education institutions in Kazakhstan.

Ambassador Seitakynov underlined Kazakhstan’s interest in further deepening bilateral cooperation and in advancing specific projects of mutual interest.

As part of efforts to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties, the Kazakh side donated 300 books, making a practical contribution to the development of humanitarian cooperation.

For his part, the Governor of Bayan-Ulgii Aimag expressed readiness to further develop cooperation with Kazakh partners and to promote exchanges in culture, education, and entrepreneurship.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening friendly relations.
