At a meeting of the Digital Headquarters of Kostanay Region, issues related to the development of Kostanay city’s digital infrastructure were discussed.

By the end of 2025, six projects worth 242 million tenge had been implemented. The iKomek situation center is operational, and digital services for monitoring the removal of solid household waste and snow have been introduced.

The Smart Qostanai application integrates 78 city services, ranging from doctor appointments to коммунal services. Solutions for citizens with special needs have been implemented, along with a digital housing management system.

The digitalization of urban infrastructure is ongoing: 72% of traffic lights are connected to the control system, 65% of street lighting operates automatically, and 58% of municipal equipment transmits data remotely.

In 2026, plans include full street lighting coverage, connecting up to 95% of traffic lights to an automated system, introducing video surveillance at pedestrian crossings and playgrounds, installing about 50 projection pedestrian crossings, and further developing AI-based solutions.
