On March 30, 2026, a working meeting took place between the Chairman of the Board of KazAID, A. Arystanov, and representatives of the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of a project on using mobile network operators' data for statistical purposes. The parties discussed the organizational and financial parameters of the upcoming three-day regional seminar scheduled for June this year at UN Plaza in Almaty. Holding this event contributes to promoting the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan, established at the initiative of the Head of State K.Zh. Tokayev.
During the meeting, the achievements in strengthening cooperation between the organizations and implementing joint development projects were also particularly noted. In particular, last year the parties successfully organized a regional seminar on data visualization for Central Asian countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to establish a regular coordination and idea-sharing mechanism to ensure the successful implementation of the joint seminar.
