Since March, digital literacy classes at Public Service Centers (CSCs) have become available in all regions of Kazakhstan. In just the first month, around 700 citizens completed the training and learned how to access government services online, according to the State Corporation “Government for Citizens.”

Previously, the project was implemented in pilot mode in Astana. After demonstrating strong demand among the population, it was expanded nationwide starting in March.

The classes are held at Public Service Centers and help citizens confidently use digital services and independently access government services online. In practice, participants are shown how to obtain an electronic digital signature, register their place of residence, request a certificate of criminal record (or absence thereof), and complete these services independently on the spot. This format is especially convenient for adults and elderly people, allowing them to comfortably освоить digital services.

In Astana, classes are held regularly on Wednesdays and Fridays, while in other regions the schedule is arranged based on CSC workload. Participation is free of charge and does not require prior registration.

“Today, government services can be obtained both at Public Service Centers and online—using various digital platforms. To ensure these solutions truly benefit citizens, it is important to continuously develop digital skills and train users, enabling them to independently access the services they need,” said Arman Kenzhegaliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation.

The project is being implemented as part of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence and aims to make government services accessible to everyone, helping Kazakhstanis confidently transition to online formats.

The training is organized by the corporate training center “Tanym” of the State Corporation and runs from February 4 to June 30. Classes remain free for all participants.
