Starting April 13, 2026, the public service for issuing and renewing work permits for labor immigrants in Kazakhstan will no longer be available at Public Service Centers (CSCs). Applications can now be submitted exclusively online.
The service for issuing and extending permits for labor immigrants has been fully digitized and is now available only through the eGov.kz portal. The update eliminates the need to visit Public Service Centers and simplifies the document application process.
Foreign citizens can now apply online to obtain or renew a work permit for employment by individuals in private households within Kazakhstan. Users no longer need to manually upload certain documents. For example, medical certificates and insurance information are automatically retrieved from government databases. This helps reduce application processing time and minimizes the risk of errors.
Decisions on issuing or renewing permits are made by local executive bodies of districts and cities of regional significance after coordination with territorial internal affairs authorities. Permits are issued for a period ranging from 1 to 12 months within the established quota for attracting labor immigrants.
Additional information about the public service is available on the portal and social media pages of eGov.kz.
