Employees of the women's penal colony in the Abai region provided assistance to a resident of Pavlodar and his minor son, who were trapped in a snow trap after a long date with his wife.

Due to the severe deterioration of weather conditions, their car was completely covered in snow, and the family was unable to continue their journey home on their own.

A 52-year-old man arrived at the facility with his 15-year-old son to meet with his wife, who is serving a sentence. During their stay on a long date in the village of Shuak, weather conditions deteriorated sharply — the wind increased and heavy snow fell. As a result, the family's car was completely covered by snow masses and could not continue driving.

Finding themselves in a difficult situation far from home, the man and his son had serious difficulties leaving. The staff of the institution, who were on duty at that moment, noticed what was happening and immediately came to the rescue. By their own efforts and using official equipment, they cleared the snow, pulled the car out of the snowdrift and made it possible to continue the journey safely.

Thanks to the coordinated and prompt actions of the colony staff, the family was able to leave safely and go back to Pavlodar.

                 - My son and I found ourselves in a very difficult situation — the car was completely covered with snow, a blizzard was raging around, the road was almost invisible. To be honest, I was at a loss and didn't know how to get out. And at that moment, the colony staff came to the rescue. They didn't just do their job, but showed real human involvement. It was very important for me to feel that caring people were there in a difficult moment. I sincerely thank everyone who helped us return home safely," shared a resident of Pavlodar.

                  - Our staff is always ready to help people, regardless of the circumstances. In this situation, it was not only about official duties, but also about human responsibility, care and support. We are proud that the staff of the institution showed efficiency, solidarity and did not leave people in trouble," said the head of the institution, Ualikhan Zhumashev.

Such cases once again confirm that employees of the penal enforcement system perform not only functions to ensure order and security, but also demonstrate high moral qualities by helping citizens in difficult life situations.
