The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Exchanged Views with a Saudi Arabian Journalist on the Eco Summit

Riyadh, April 16, 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov, received Lama Alhamawi, journalist and Head of the Diplomacy and foreign affairs section of the leading Middle Eastern newspaper Arab News, at the Embassy.
During the meeting, the Ambassador provided L.Alhamawi with guidance regarding her upcoming visit to Astana aimed at media coverage of the Regional Ecological Summit, scheduled to take place on April 22-24, 2026, and wished her a successful trip. In addition, the Ambassador provided comprehensive information on the content and significance of the event, noting that the key discussion topics would include pressing regional environmental challenges, climate change, efficient water resource management, and sustainable development issues. It was also noted that the summit will be held in cooperation with the United Nations and international partners, and is expected to bring together heads of state, representatives of international organizations, and experts.
In turn, Lama Alhamawi expressed her gratitude for the support provided by the Embassy and confirmed her readiness to extensively cover the international event.
