Akmola Region Presented Its Tourism Potential at the 4th Belarus–Russia Tourism Congress

On April 7–8, 2026, the 4th Belarus–Russia Tourism Congress and the International Tourism Forum Travel Hub “Commonwealth” were held, bringing together leading experts from the tourism industry across CIS countries.

The event became an important platform for discussing current trends and future prospects in tourism development. In addition to the plenary session, the forum featured industry-specific sections focused on the development of agro- and ecotourism, gastronomic, patriotic, and business tourism, as well as issues related to экскурсионная and tour operator activities.

More than 800 delegates took part in the forum, including over 80 experts representing government authorities, tour operators, the hotel and restaurant industry, investors, the banking sector, and transport companies. The geography of participants covered more than 20 regions of Russia, as well as Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Kazakhstan was represented at the international platform by the Kazakhstan Association of Agro- and Rural Tourism. The Association’s President, Khalida Ashimova, delivered a presentation showcasing modern approaches and technologies for developing tourism infrastructure in the Burabay National Park.

Participation in such international events contributes to strengthening cooperation between countries, exchanging experience, and promoting the tourism potential of the Akmola Region in international markets.

The Tourism Department of the Akmola Region will continue its systematic efforts to develop the region’s tourism industry, implement modern practices, and expand international cooperation.
