Within the framework of implementing the Concept of “Law and Order”, a working meeting titled “Right to Life” was held at the House of Culture in the city of Petropavlovsk, with the participation of representatives of non-governmental organizations.
The event was attended by specialists from the Family Support Center, the Social Adaptation Center, the “Demeu” Coordination Center for Child Protection Issues, the “Senim Soltustik”, as well as the charitable foundation “Nadezhda NORD”.
The meeting brought together around 60 convicts under the supervision of the probation service.
During the event, representatives of the organizations conducted awareness-raising talks, presented the areas of their activity, and explained the types of assistance they are ready to provide to probationers facing difficult life circumstances. Particular attention was given to issues of social adaptation, employment, psychological support, and overcoming addictions.
As illustrative examples, previously convicted citizens who managed to transform their lives were invited to the meeting: they overcame addictions, started their own businesses, and created families. Their personal stories served as an important motivating factor for the participants.
The main objective of the event was to promote the resocialization of convicts, support individuals in difficult life situations, and prevent recidivism.
