Panevėžys, 15 April 2026 — Ambassador T. Urazayev paid a working visit to Panevėžys, during which he held a meeting with representatives of the Panevėžys Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, as well as the local business community.

The event was attended by representatives of a number of companies interested in developing cooperation with Kazakhstan, including trade, education, agriculture and other sectors.

During the meeting, the Ambassador spoke about current trends in Kazakhstan’s economic development, measures to improve the investment climate and opportunities for foreign investors. Favourable conditions for doing business were noted, including the presence of special economic zones, as well as state support measures for investment projects.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for cooperation in the field of digitalisation and innovation. It was noted that Kazakhstan is actively developing GovTech, FinTech and digital infrastructure, and that 2026 has been declared the Year of Artificial Intelligence. The Ambassador also emphasised Kazakhstan’s readiness to expand cooperation with Lithuanian partners, including the promotion of Kazakh IT solutions in foreign markets.

The importance of developing cooperation in transport and logistics was also highlighted, taking into account Kazakhstan’s growing role as a transit hub between Europe and Asia.

As part of the visit, the Ambassador visited the enterprise “Schmitz Cargobull Baltic”, specialising in the production of semi-trailers and transport equipment.
