Foz do Iguaçu, April 21, 2026 – From April 20 to 26, the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguaçu is hosting the first stage of the World Boxing Cup, which has brought together some of the world’s most renowned boxers.

Following the first round of bouts, victories were secured by three-time world champion Nazym Kyzaibay (up to 54 kg), Farukh Toktasynov (up to 70 kg), and Dias Molzhigitov (up to 80 kg). Staff members of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil, representatives of the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in the state of Paraná, as well as friends of Kazakhstan, arrived in Foz do Iguaçu to greet and cheer on the Kazakhstani athletes.

For reference: The World Boxing Cup is being held under the auspices of World Boxing in 2026. The World Cup consists of several stages: Brazil -April (first stage), China -June, Uzbekistan -final stage (November).
