An Agreement on the Establishment of a Business Council signed in Skopje

Skopje, April 20, 2026 – The Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arman Shakkaliev, visited Skopje on a working visit aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation with North Macedonia.
During the visit, the Kazakh delegation was received by President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova. The parties noted the steady development of bilateral relations and confirmed their intention to expand trade and economic ties.
Silianovska-Davkova, warmly recalling her visit to Astana in May 2025, conveyed her best wishes to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan.
An important part of the visit program was the negotiations between Minister Arman Shakkaliev and Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade Timcho Mucunski. The parties discussed in detail the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral trade. Special attention was paid to creating conditions for sustainable growth of trade turnover.
Based on the results of the business forum, which brought together more than 100 Macedonian and several Kazakhstan companies (including «QazTrade», «KazakhInvest»), an Agreement on the establishment of a Business Council between the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan and the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia was signed; a Memorandum of Cooperation between JSC «QazTrade» Trade Policy Development Center» and the North Macedonia Agency for Foreign Investment and Export Promotion, aimed at implementing joint business projects.
During the visit, Minister Shakkaliev also visited the Technological and Industrial Development Zone (TIDZ) «Bunardzik».
