On April 29–30, 2026, in the city of Tashkent, a delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Seilzhan Akhmetov took part in the 18th Annual «Silk Road» Tax Forum, organized by the International Tax and Investment Center jointly with the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

      The forum traditionally serves as one of the key international platforms for discussing modern approaches to tax policy, the digital transformation of tax administration, and the exchange of best practices among countries in the region.

      As part of the third session, dedicated to the policy and administration of indirect taxes, Acting Director of the Tax Administration Department Bektas Adilgaliev presented Kazakhstan’s experience in administering VAT and excise taxes. During his presentation, digital solutions used in Kazakhstan to enhance the transparency of tax control, automate processes, and improve interaction with the business community were demonstrated.

     The Republic of Kazakhstan continues to actively participate in the development of tax cooperation, strengthening partnerships within the framework of the «Tax Silk Road» and contributing to the formation of a transparent and sustainable tax environment.
