On 30 April 2026, a mentoring session took place at the NGS private school as part of the ‘KONNECT Alumni Mentor-Mentee Exchange Programme for Local Children’.
The speaker at the event was K. Shaimerdenova, a graduate of the KOICA programme and manager at KazAID. During the meeting, she shared her professional experience, spoke about her current work at the agency and presented KazAID’s key areas of activity. Particular attention was paid to the principles of official development assistance (ODA) and Kazakhstan’s role in international cooperation.
The students had the opportunity to learn about the prospects of participating in international educational programmes, ask questions and receive practical advice on professional development. The meeting marked an important step in broadening the students’ horizons and strengthening their motivation to actively participate in educational and career initiatives.
