Ribeirão Preto, April 29 - May 2, 2026 – A Kazakh delegation led by Amangali Berdalin, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid a working visit to Brazil.

The main goal of the visit was to establish a partnership between the two countries in livestock farming, exchange experience in breeding Angus and Herreford cattle in Kazakhstan, jointly develop genetics and embryos, and export live cattle from Brazil to our country. The delegation also attended Agrishow 2026, the largest agro-industrial exhibition in Latin America, in Ribeirão Preto.

On the sidelines of the agricultural exhibition, with the participation and organizational support of the Kazakh Embassy, representatives of Kazakh agro-industrial companies, who arrived as part of the delegation, held expert talks with their Brazilian partners on expanding cooperation in livestock production and livestock exports.

During the visit, the Kazakh delegation visited five Brazilian cities (Uberaba, Uberlândia, São José do Rio Preto, Barretos, and Itapechininga), where they held a series of bilateral talks, presentations, and visits to agricultural complexes of Brazilian companies such as Agropecuaria 3G, Halim Laboratory, TRULAND, and others.

In Uberaba, Amangali Berdalin met with the leadership of the Brazilian Association for the Breeding of Zebu and Angus Breeds (ABCZ) and toured the fattening facility of Ottoman Negócios. Among other things, the negotiations discussed the implementation of a project to establish a laboratory for the cultivation of zebu embryos in Kazakhstan.

Following the visit, an agreement was also reached to develop and conclude an interdepartmental cooperation agreement between the two countries in livestock production, taking into account Kazakhstan's needs in this sector.

For reference: Livestock farming in Brazil is a highly developed sector, forming the foundation of the country's agro-industrial complex. The country holds a leading position globally in livestock numbers and meat export volumes, securing a significant share of the global market through extensive pasture management. Agrishow 2026 is Latin America's largest agricultural technology exhibition, annually attracting approximately 800 exhibiting companies and over 200,000 visitors.
