A ceremonial time capsule laying was held in Kokshetau to mark the foundation of the future Wyndham hotel, which will become part of the city’s developing business and tourism infrastructure. The project is being implemented with the support of the regional administration and is aimed at enhancing the investment potential of the Akmola Region.

According to the representative of the contracting organization, founder of Raise Capital LLP Amangeldy Akimov, the future 9-story hotel is planned to include 54 rooms, a restaurant, a conference hall, a SPA area, a fitness center, parking facilities, and an electric vehicle charging station.

Construction is scheduled for completion in 2027. However, the investors intend to accelerate the work and commission the facility by the summer tourist season.

“The project should be viewed not only as the construction of a hotel, but also as an important infrastructure asset contributing to the tourism, business, and investment attractiveness of Kokshetau and the region as a whole,” noted Marat Akhmetzhanov.

The head of the region was also presented with the Zhаna Zhagalau-2 embankment project, where the development of a public beach has already begun. Akim of the city Anuar Kumpekeyev demonstrated samples of tiles and sand, emphasizing that around 10,000 square meters of paving stones are planned to be replaced. The beach will be equipped with a rescue station, sanitary zones, a medical point, showers, and sun loungers.
