Delegation from the Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University, led by Rector Beibıtkul Karimova, paid an official visit to Tallinn. The programme, prepared in cooperation with Tallinn University and several partner institutions, focused on the exchange of experience and the discussion of current developments in the field of education.

During the visit, the delegation became acquainted with modern approaches applied within the Estonian education system, held discussions on digitalisation, competence assessment and educational management, and visited institutions across various levels of education - from early childhood to higher education.

A series of professional meetings formed a central part of the programme, highlighting the development of higher education and the introduction of innovative solutions. At the Tallinn Education Department, guests were presented with the structure of Estonia’s national education system and its key development priorities, followed by an introduction to the unique LAHE competence assessment model, which drew particular interest from the delegation.

The programme also included a visit to Pääsusilma Kindergarten, where early childhood education practices supporting children’s independence and creative thinking were demonstrated. Later, at Tallinn University, the delegation met with the university’s leadership. Rector Tõnu Viik outlined the institution’s strategic priorities, research directions and international initiatives.

Special attention was given to discussions between Tallinn University and the Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University. The two sides explored opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation, enhance academic mobility for students and faculty, and develop joint educational projects.

Representatives from both Kazakhstan and Estonia noted that the visit marked an important step in strengthening professional ties, broadening international partnerships and creating new opportunities for collaboration in the field of education.

The meetings and discussions held in Tallinn provided a meaningful platform for the exchange of experience and the advancement of educational cooperation between Kazakhstan and Estonia.
