In the women's colony of the Department of the Penal Enforcement System in the Abai region, as part of the operational and preventive measure "Doping", a set of search and preventive measures aimed at strengthening the established regime and ensuring security was carried out.
Employees of the operational department of the institution together with the cynological service of the Zharminsky district police department were involved in the work. The main purpose is to prevent and suppress attempts to illegally enter prohibited items and substances on the territory of the institution.
Special attention is paid to the inspection of vehicles entering through the checkpoint, as well as the inspection of parcels and parcels delivered to convicts by mail by specialized transport. All events were held in strict accordance with the requirements of current legislation and internal regulations.
Dog handlers with a service dog named Laika, together with the staff of the institution, examined more than forty mail items to identify prohibited substances and objects. The use of service dogs can significantly improve the efficiency of inspections and quickly detect even carefully hidden prohibited attachments.
According to the results of the events, no prohibited items were identified. This confirms the effectiveness of the preventive measures taken and the coherence of the interaction of the services involved.
"These measures prevent attempts to smuggle and transport prohibited items, help maintain a stable operational environment in the institution and strengthen discipline among convicts," said Daria Apisarova, head of the Operations Department.
