A table tennis tournament among convicts was held at the maximum security facility of the Department of the Penal Correction System in the Abai region.

           More than forty convicts took part in the sports competitions, who demonstrated a high level of preparation, the will to win and the desire for a healthy lifestyle. The tournament was held in an atmosphere of sports excitement, fair fight and mutual respect.

         The judging was carried out by representatives of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Semey, Abai region, which ensured the objectivity and transparency of the competition. 

         - For us, such competitions are an opportunity not only to test our strength, but also to feel support, communication and a sporting spirit. We are grateful that we are given a chance to develop and spend time usefully," the convict shared.

        - Sports tournaments play an important role in educational work with convicts. They contribute to the strengthening of physical and psychological health, the formation of discipline and the desire for self-improvement. Such events help people serving sentences to channel their energy in a positive direction and prepare for their return to society," said Aydin Kalelov, Deputy head of the institution.

           Following the results of the tournament, the winners and prize-winners were determined, who were awarded diplomas and memorable prizes. The participants noted the high level of organization and expressed interest in further participation in such sporting events.
