Victory Day is a celebration honoring the courage of frontline soldiers who fought selflessly for a peaceful life and a free future, glorifying the spirit of heroic ancestors. The names and heroic deeds of veterans who gifted future generations a peaceful life will forever remain in the memory of the people.

In this regard, today a commemorative event titled “Unforgettable Heroism, Eternal Glory” dedicated to May 9 — Victory Day, was held at the “Tagzym” square. The meaningful event was attended by district akim Zhandos Erkinbek, veterans, representatives of the intelligentsia, youth, and local residents.

The ceremonial gathering began with honoring the memory of those who heroically perished during the Great Patriotic War. Participants laid flowers near the Eternal Flame, paying tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives on the battlefield.

A minute of silence was also observed in memory of the veterans, during which residents honored their heroic deeds.

Speaking at the event, the district head emphasized the historical significance of the Great Victory:

— We will forever bow before the spirit of the heroes who went through the fire of war for the sake of the Motherland. Honoring the courageous spirit of the warriors of the Great Steppe is our sacred duty. This great power of unity became the foundation of Victory not only on the battlefield, but also through the dedicated labor on the home front. The service of our fathers and mothers will forever remain in the memory of our people.

The strength of our independence and the prosperity of our country are also the fruits of this Victory. May our skies always remain peaceful and our nation safe! Happy Victory Day! — he noted.

It should be noted that more than one million citizens from our country went to the Great Patriotic War, and nearly half of them never returned from the battlefield. In this struggle, about 5,000 heroes from the sacred Karmakshy district demonstrated bravery in the fierce war and contributed to raising the banner of Victory.
