Kazakhstan and Indonesia are expanding cooperation in trade, logistics, and agriculture

On May 11, 2026, the second meeting of the Kazakhstan–Indonesia Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Astana. The Kazakh delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy H.E. Serik Zhumangarin, while the Indonesian delegation was led by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs H.E. Airlangga Hartarto.
The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies and national companies of both countries, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan “Atameken”, diplomatic missions, and the business community.
The parties held detailed discussions on the further development of trade, mutual investment, transport and logistics, energy, digitalization, agriculture, standardization, and tourism.
Following the meeting, the Protocol of the Second Meeting of the Kazakhstan–Indonesia Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was signed.
