Kazakhstan and the University of Narowal Intend to Expand Cooperation in Education and Interreligious Dialogue

Islamabad, 12 May 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of University of Narowal, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq.

During the meeting, Ambassador Y. Kistafin congratulated the Vice Chancellor on the successful organization of the 2nd Narowal Peace Dialogue, initiated by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, which was held on 5-6 May this year at the University of Narowal.

For his part, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his participation and particularly highlighted the active role of the Kazakh delegation led by Chairperson of the Board of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue Ms. Gulsana Kozhabay.

In addition, the parties discussed issues related to the further development of cooperation in the field of education. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening academic ties and organizing mutual visits of representatives of educational institutions of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of a Pakistani delegation to Kazakhstan later this year.
