In the village of Novostroyka, Samara District, a major renovation of the Balausa-2 sports and recreation camp is underway. Once construction and renovations are completed, the camp will be able to accommodate up to 160 children per season.
Samara District Akim Serik Zhenisov, along with Kuat Okasov, Head of the East Kazakhstan Region Education Department, visited the site and inspected the construction and renovation work. During the tour, they inspected the camp grounds and new buildings and discussed the project's timeline and quality with the contractor.
Currently, construction is underway on three new buildings with 120 spaces at Balausa-2, along with ongoing renovations to the existing two-story camp building. Previously designed for only 40 children, its capacity was later increased to 60. Once the renovations are complete, the camp's capacity will almost quadruple.
The contractor has already begun renovation work. 25 people are working on the site daily.
During the tour, Serik Zhenisov gave a number of instructions for the further development of the camp's infrastructure. Specifically, the camp was tasked with examining the installation of septic tanks, providing a perimeter fence, and addressing the need for a stronger power supply and installing a transformer.
Furthermore, eight shade canopies are planned for the camp grounds to provide comfortable recreation for children during the summer.
Special attention has been paid to safety and sanitary standards. Specialists have been instructed to study the requirements for a medical isolation ward, taking into account the camp's expansion, and determine the required number of beds.
