Today, the Department of Ecology of Atyrau Region held an educational and practical event, "Ecological Hour," to mark June 5th—World Environment Day and Ecologist Day.

Regional environmental activists, independent environmentalists, young professionals, and students participated in the event. Participants discussed current environmental issues and effective solutions.

During the meeting, the authors of well-known regional environmental projects and independent environmentalists Kulyash Amandykova, Sultan Akhmet, Dmitriy Urgachev, and Zhansaya Nakimzhanova shared their experiences and practical developments.

The speakers presented informative reports on fostering a culture of separate waste collection and sorting, developing the volunteer movement, developing and implementing environmental projects, respecting nature, and the importance of simple environmental habits in everyday life.

Participants learned about successful environmental projects and exchanged experiences and new ideas for implementing environmental initiatives. Particular attention was paid to the fact that environmental conservation is the responsibility of every citizen, and that big changes begin with small steps.

The main goal of "Ecological Hour" is to popularize the experience of environmental activists and independent ecologists among young professionals and students, enhance their environmental awareness, develop interest in environmental initiatives, and foster a responsible attitude toward the environment.

"Ecological Hour" provided participants with a platform for useful information and new ideas, and also contributed to strengthening cooperation in environmental protection.
