June 1, 2026 — On International Children's Day, the East Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic hosted the first regional children's creativity festival "SHYGHYS BALAFEST," bringing together about 1000 talented children from all districts and cities of the region.

The honorary guest of the event was the Akim (Governor) of the East Kazakhstan Region, Nurymbet Saktaganov, who participated in the grand Gala Concert and the award ceremony for the festival winners.

"SHYGHYS BALAFEST" became a large-scale platform to support and develop the creative potential of the younger generation, reveal children's talents, strengthen friendly ties among young participants, and popularize children's art in the region.

As part of the Gala Concert, the audience was presented with the best creative performances by the winners of the regional stage of the festival. The stage featured vocal performances, vibrant choreographic productions, instrumental compositions, and other creative acts that demonstrated the high level of skill and artistry of the young talents from East Kazakhstan.

The festival participants were the winners of district and city stages of the competition — gifted children who worthily represented their territories and got the opportunity to perform on the main stage of the region.

"SHYGHYS BALAFEST" is intended to become a cherished annual tradition, uniting talented children of the East Kazakhstan Region and opening new opportunities for their creative growth and self-realization.
